SOUTHERN WALL COMPLETED

….except for the top ‘barge’ plank, window beadings, glass, and one or two oil applications.

Took a while. I blame my habit of reinventing the wheel; my amateur status; the philosophy of ‘bit by bit’ – and a fussy temperament, which can drive my long-suffering employer to the point of despair.

Next project: the eastern wall with double-doors.

    1. Thankyou for those words of encouragement Heather. I guess it’s a bit like building a boat: you put together the basic structure or ‘shell’, but then you must attend to the details, including the ‘fitting out’.

It takes time and patience, and sometimes I think I have neither to spare (conditional patience, after all, is not the same as real patience).

Still, the southern wall just completed is by far the biggest, so that can be regarded as progress….
